It first went on sale at GenCon this past August but since I was unable to attend I had to wait until it became available online. Well, it finally became available this past Friday and I was fortunate enough to be able to order one for myself this past Monday and to have it delivered to me earlier today. It truly is an amazing model with a high amount of detail and I'm expecting it to be loads of fun to paint. Not wanting to waste much time, I got started on it as soon as possible tonight.

The first step was to take all of the pieces and clean them up with soap and water to remove any of the releasing agent used during the casting process. By removing these chemicals, it provides for easier assembly due to easier gluing and better quality when painting. Once cleaned, all of the components laid out looked like this:

After the components have been cleaned, its time for dry assembly. This is the point where you fit the pieces together without any glue or any other means to see how everything fits together and give you a good idea of how it all will finally be put together. Once this was done, it was time for assembly. Everything went together smoothly and very little modeling putty was needed to fill any gaps.

The finished model can be seen below.

Tomorrow, I hope to get started on painting by priming the model and building up the flesh once the glue and modeling putty dry.
